hey all ive got a question about something. i got a 06si and it has just over 100,000km on it, and ive notice thats theres a funny noise coming from my engine area. it sounds like its comeming from my timing belt, its kinda like a high pitched squeeling noise. has any had this problem yet? i know its not normal cuz my car didn't sound like that b4, so am i causing any damage to my engine buy driving around (maybe 3-4 months)with it like that? so if anyone has over 100k on thier car let me know if u had any kinda major repairs and what kinda.

Si's don't have a timing belt, so i'm going to presume you meant the serpentine belt, in which case, you should probably change it at 60k miles.

Yes. the only belt on the car.

Take it to Honda tech and let them inspect it. If it is, you can go and buy the part and install it yourself (no charge), performance shop, or at Honda to get it repaired. Always my best bet is to get the car checked up.

If you been driving it around for a few months like that it means that belt oil is low and you need to fill it back up.......

im not much of a DIY kinda person so i guess i have to pay to get it done. and that noise happends pertty much ALL the time. you can hear it as soon as the engine starts up.
