engine knock is only my guess, becuase it hear it when I press more gas only.

what do you guys think?

Or maybe it's "ping" ?? I don't quite know what the difference between knock and ping. Can anyone explain ? thanks

30% oil life, still haven't done my first oil change
current at around 4500 miles.

you think dirty oilcan cause problems like that?

thanks.
Not likely, at least I never heard of it. Of couse unless you lose one of your pistons. I would call up the local honda service center and set an appointment. Don't take any advice from here.

Actually, I'm really not sure if it's a knock or not.
I watched some video on youtube on engine knock, those actually sounds like something is knocking on the door or something..

Mine is more like.. marble in tin can, or someone left the tap on so water kept floating out. The sounds is pretty subtle.

I just want to confirm what it is before I talk to the dealer, so I can convince them more efficiently.

i have a similar sound in my car when i'm idling and you can hear it slightly while revving. its coming from the right side tho and it's not consistent. i hear it and then it might go away for a second, maybe more and then i'll hear it again. took it to the dealer and the guy looked at it real quick and says it sounds like my belt tensioner is loose or one of my pulleys is bad. i haven't had time to make an appointment to get it fixed tho

I was at around 2000 to 3000 rpm.
not VTEC-ing..

Does the marble sound really indicates knocking?
or could it be something else?

at VTEC, sometimes I hear some click too, but it's seldom.
Chevron gas did not help by the way
