I just finished buying a set of nitto 555r 245/50r16 and put them on Mitsubishi 3000gt wheels which are 16x8 with a 46mm offset and was wondering if this set up would work on my 08 civic si. I haven't lowered the car or anything and just wanted to see if anyone else had trying doing this same thing. Also I have seen the other threads but they haven't helped much so thought I would start a new thread,

Believe it or not those are the smallest drag radials that could possible fit an si without much modifications. I would have to get 15" wheels for the next smallest but 15" wheels dont pass the calipers so I have to stick with 16".

if you run bogarts you can go down to a 15 as long as your backspacing is correct. on your car i wouldnt go over a 22.5 inch diameter.

Below are the specs for the stock tires on an si and the ones I bought. According to this the diameter for the stock tires are already bigger than 22in. I really wouldn't want to spend more money on new rims if this can work.

Stock Tire - 215/45R17
Section Width: 8.46 in 215 mm
Rim Diameter: 17 in 431.8 mm
Rim Width Range: 7 - 8 in
Overall Diameter: 24.61 in 625.09 mm
Sidewall Height: 3.80 in 96.52 mm
Radius: 12.30 in 312.42 mm
Circumference: 77.31 in 1963.6 mm

Nitto 555R- 245/50R16
Section Width: 9.64 in 245 mm
Rim Diameter: 16 in 406.4 mm
Rim Width Range: 7 - 8.5 in
Overall Diameter: 25.64 in 651.25 mm
Sidewall Height: 4.82 in 122.42 mm
Radius: 12.82 in 325.62 mm
Circumference: 80.55 in 2045.9 mm
