sorry to not clearify, but i am talking about the plastic they put on the outside of the car doors, so when idiots slam the door into yours, it doesnt dent...
most cars have them, im noticing alot of new hondas dont...
On the new civic though, there looks like it could be one, or it might be part of the body itself and not protect....

No door gaurds on the new civic, and I'm glad about that cuz I think my 95 civic had what your talking about and until I had the whole car painted the same color they stuck out like a sore thumb because they were black and the car was green. They blended in though once I had the car painted and looked ok, but before they were painted the same color as the car they were just ugly.
These days car makers are moving away from them since they hardly ever help because every other car is an SUV
yea they might be ugly, but i do notice that alot of old cars(like 10 yrs) and older, have less dents then my less then 2 yr old honda...
its so easy to dent my accord.
and at $100.00 to remove a stupid dent, sh*t gets aggravating
a number of people I've talked to have used this - (ding king)
(or other similar products)
to remove dings. I thought it looked cheesy (being on tv), but I really haven't heard bad stuff about it. I wouldn't hesitate spending like 20 bucks or whatever to test this out. I know others said it saved them from having to get theirs fixed by a shop. Some said it reduced the ding after like 10 tries - or after they figured out how much glue to apply. Others I heard say it pulled most dings out completely or at least 90% of the way flat.

If it's a huge major ding - majorly creased - it might not pop.

wow u heard that works?
i saw it at autozone, and decided to ask the guy working what he heard of it...
He said something along the lines of "its Bull Sh*t save your money, it dont work"
Since he worked at a place selling them. i figured he knew what was up..
The commercial seemed to good to be true, so i took his word.
ill have to look into that..
alot of my dings are very light, but if u are looking you will notice them, and it pisses me off.
here - I found this -

http://www.epinions.com/pr-Car_Care-Ding_King_Basic_Kit/display_~reviews

some of those reviews suck though - like I doubt the person had any clue, and they complained that the glue gun had to be plugged in, and their outlet was far from their car.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cu...648-9558261?_encoding=UTF8&n=284507&s=kitchen

I don't know though - I haven't used it first hand. I've just heard of other people using it, and they seemed to be happy. <shrugs>
i'll give my review.
my sis has a scion xB, and this guy driving a Hyundai Elantra hit her by her front wheel. So i got to AutoBarn and ask the guy for the best ding remover (it was a ding). he says "Get this. Its on TV and it works" I'm guessing he told me this cuz all the other **** was cheaper. i spent 40 bux on the crap.

i come home and went through 3 sticks that they give. The dent came out so much that i didn't see any difference. Great Product for those who wanna waste their money cuz this stuff don't work. The dent was only 3 inches in diameter.

I'll never buy **** from TV.
