I was changing my oil and ATF earlier, and noticed the AT had some spots on it, kinda looking like what you get on your valve cover by the dipstick. Just black, stained, crud. Also where the cat bolts to the rest of the exhaust, it was rusted. Not sure if that's normal or not, just curious. 07 EX 40K miles. Thanks.

BTW, these were taken before draining anything.

looks like a slight leak maybe. wash and clean that area well, let it dry, and check it in about a day or two. see if it returns, you may have a leak somewhere.

I never changed the fluid until now, and the dipstick has been directly on the MAX mark for 3 years. I'll wash it and keep an eye on it though... thanks.

Just an update, I sent my dealer these pics and one of their knowledgeable advisers that I've dealt with numerous times said it looks like an oil leak coming from the back of the engine. I told him if it is, it must not be severe, since I've done 5k mile OCI's and never been a drop low in 3 years. I'll probably take it in anyway, still under power train warranty.
