I have a question does anyone know if the dc5 type-R cams will fit on our fg2 heads???? I know that the 05-06 Rsx type-s bring those cams and I was wondering if that would be a possiable upgrade to our cams, being that they claim more power on the rsx type s then on the si............

I believe they can be swapped ,but your better off going with the type-s Intake cam and the TSX exhaust cam.....the heads are very similar though...I thought they were the same both K24 heads on our Z motors...I dunno guess not:thumb: :wavey:

^^^what he said...
the cams interchange just fine. youll find a better power combo f the intake cam is paired with a tsx exhaust as stated prior.
is there a reason that the tsx cam would be better for the SI, then the Type-R would be? i know that upgrading your cams your stock cams to type-r cams in a b-series made a huge difference i just thought the might be the same case...
Also the new rsx has a Z motor as well.... the come with a k20Z1 motor but the have type-r cams and a type-r snorkel and thats why they claim more horsepower then us....
rsx intake
tsx exhaust

i'd have it no other way unless i went after market.

The TSX cams are larger than both RSX and ITR cams. The secondary lobe on the exhaust cam is also larger. = Better low end torque which is ideal for an N/A setup. Not so much for an F/I setup.
Any cams for the R18? I'm kinda new, so I'm not sure if the non-si civics have said cams, but if they do, would any fit (or any news on aftermarket)?
the tsx intake profile is smaller in comparison to the ITR cam specs but the TSX exhaust profile boast higher lift and duration values.

i beg to differ ive run its cams on a forced induced k20 motor before and trust me it does benefit from from the additional air flow esspecially in the midrange. the turbo responds much better under partial to full throttle as far as spool time goes. where it does make a difference is up top mostly for turbocharged setups

I'm talking specifically about the TSX cams, not aftermarket. There are better solutions for F/I, than the OEM cams. And by ITS did you mean IPS....?
typo i didnt mean its or ips that needs to be omitted. i was speaking specifically about oem style camshafts be it tsx or itr. you'd be amazed at the results that can be had from oem cams on a boosted application vs. aftermarket not that aftermarket cams arent beneficial but not everyone has the finances for 800.00-1200.00 for cams. not to mention the inability to tune high profile cam lobes at the moment on the SI ecu

True true....I'm waiting on the new Euro-R. I want to see what it's cam profiles are. *sigh* a couple more weeks I think....
