I don't know about exhaust tips but seen some stainless knives stained after heating.
ya that is raw SS tho. wouldnt image that polished tips would work, not 100% tho. anybody tried?
I will stand corrected if you show me some Stainless steel that is blue colored by heat like Titanium

Stainless turns tan, then bronze, then brown... Never blue.
(from another forum)

All the fake stainless steel with burnt Titanium look, are anodized stainless steel.

The greddy and other exhausts that are not full Titanium tip, and you can see the canister is SS, but the tip is Titanium, where you have j's racing exhausts where the whole thing like a bike is Titanium, piping and all.

Just fyi, not trying to troll, but just feel bad for the noob that messes up his fake Ti tip by trying to burn it, or people wasting money trying to make their SS tip be blue, which won't happen

So bottom line this won't work well with SS?
Just to make it clear for everyone else including myself.
I have yet anyone to say other wise, stainless steel just does not have that property simple as that.

The stainless steel tips that are like that are anodized to look like that, such as neo-chrome, is a fake titanium look alike.
