Bored of the same old look? Want to give your exhaust a new look? Trying to restore that fade? This is will only work for those with a titanium tip or stainless steel. Chrome will not work.
Items you need to perform this:
1) A stainless steel or titanium muffler/exhaust/axleback
2) A blow torch (obtained from home depot $15)
3) A metal polisher (obtained from pepboys $10)
4) A towel
Step 1:
Polish off your exhaust with the metal polisher and make certain not to leave any residue behind. If you put enough elbow grease into it, you can remove the previous burn.
Step 2:
The FUN part :headfones: Light up your blow torch and slowly start moving around the tip. You will notice the titanium starting to change color. Keep moving slowly around the tip until you get an even layer.
WARNING: Do not heat too long or turn your tip red or else it will just go back to original steel titanium color. If you do, then polish off and rinse and repeat till you get the blue color again.
Step 3:
Make sure you get a straight line burn so it will look good. Allow 10 - 15 minutes for cooldown.
Step 4:
Slap it back on and enjoy the new look :hitit:
If you get bored of this look you can always go back to the titanium or stainless steel look. Just burn the tip till it is red and you can see the color being restored.
