I was checking the underside of my 07 EX (MT) this morning and noticed that there's an area toward the bottom of my bellhousing (on the engine side) that's got a very noticeable coating of oil/grease mixed with dirt from the road. It's only a small area and seeing something like this on an older car wouldn't really give me pause at all. This car has about 17k miles on it.

No oil is dripping to the ground, just seeping out onto the engine. I cannot feel any oil getting into the clutch or anything like that either.

Are other people seeing this? Is it just normal seepage or might I have a problem.

The input shaft seal on the transmission or the rear crankshaft seal on the engine could be leaking. There is a small hole which allows this to drain out of the bellhousing (to prevent clutch contaimination). If the oil seems to be coming from this hole it is most likely one of these seals.
