Hey all,

I recently purchased a used 06 civic ex sedan and when I went to check the spare's pressure, it was around 25; obviously, many times lower than recommended. I noticed that the valve stem was somewhat difficult to get to as it seemed awkwardly angled for easy access. I was able to take it to 60 psi but when I went to wiggle the stem, I could hear a hiss as if air was be let out. Is this considered defective and if so, should I have them replace the whole wheel or is that something that can be fixed at the stem level? The tire tread looks like it was never used. Thanks.

You can ask them to replaced the hole thing but they probably will not. Yes you should be able to just replace the valve stem.
