Any ideas on how to get decal glue off carbon fiber? i tried rubbing alcohol but it just rubbed it in and made it worse.

goo gone... they should sell it at your local auto parts... it takes off double sided tape glue and other sticky stuff lol

will it not take the clear off? i tried goo gone on my mirror one time and it ate right through the clearcoat and through my paint.

Give it some WD40 and see how much of it removes. Then clabybar it. Helps if the weather is hot. If all else fails take a q-tip and use a dab of the goo gone. See the effects before using more.

I just used goo gone to get rid of badge adhesive and it didn't remove the clear coat or damage the paint.

Just don't use a lot.
I dabbed a paper towel in goo gone and then used it to "wet" the adhesive without even touching the area around it.


I'm not sure about carbon fiber, but like ronin said you can always just dab a tiny bit of goo gone somewhere inconspicuous and see if it hurts anything.




By the way, anyone looking for goo gone, Wal-Mart actually carries it.
But they keep it over by the laundry detergent, not in automotive or hardware where I thought it would be.

Take a piece of cloth and just the tip of it get a few drops of gasoline that should do the trick

A good Bug & Tar remover and/or claybar should do the trick.
