Camshafts

Do all aftermarket camshafts out for the rsx-s work for the 06 si? On clubrsx there all crower cams that say fit any k20 head. Stage 2 says 50+ HP with built type s with ecu for stock type-s. What specifically makes a type-s "built"? Is it just valve springs and retainers or what else? What kind of benefits power wise do you think just stage 1 would make? Stage 1 says 35+ hp with ecu for stock type-s. What about other cams that are made for the type-s such as Toda. Are crower the only ones that would work with the si since they say any k20 head?

^^ This forum is dead on most of its sections. If you look into the classified section there is a "new post" every few months. I am looking for Camshaft information and the posts are old.. all of them, ocasionally someone responds years later. This forum is very obsolete. Even when you google something I I do everyday you will find post from this forum but they are many years old 100% of the times.

My current research on cams is that Dragcartel set up will cost you about $3500 by the time you are done with buying them, installing them and tuning them. I have been quoted 14 hours by a local shop and 14.6 hours by the dealer to just drop in the cams on my 09 SI and that is not including the valve adjustment.

14 x$160 plus tax= $2350 labor
Drag cartel cam $1000
Valve train $400
custom dyno tune $600
