Cam questions...

Anyone know if there are any companies (ie Skunk2, IPS, Toda, Crower), that are working with any ecu tuning co. to come out with a package like Toda has for the RSX-s? From what I have read going to Stage 1 cams doesn't really do much for you unless you have tuned your ecu (reflash specific or kpro ish) for those cams? Right now I only have an SRI, but plan on getting a shorty header, high flow cat, and am leaning toward the cam route if I can see 220whp or better with a lower vtec as well. Really I don't want to spend $5000 for a comptech supercharger or a turbo system, and don't really want enormous whp. Also as I understand a stage 1 supercharger without a smaller pulley or larger fuel injectors gets about a 40 whp gain as it is, about 220whp total. As for the suspension I'm thinking maybe the HFP and Progress rear swaybar. I'd like to top it off with either some Motegi 17" Traklites or SSR Type-C's in anthricite. I realize all these upgrades are going to hit the wallet, and that is why upgrading little by little is more appealing, as opposed to dropping 4-5k all at once. Anyways, noob rambling over and out.

consider our block is just like every other k20 block and our head is almost identical to the new type-s, theoretically any cams that come out for the new type-s are swappable into our motor. things like pistions, rods, crank. all that is completely interchangeable between k20 blocks

true.....but our head is 100% tsx:thumb:
yes, both are Z heads. which leads me to believe cams should be interchangable

on a side note id love to be a test dummy to prove this theory if everyone on here is willing to fund some of the cost of some cams, maybe a reflash and header.. ya know. to get the real affect
Uhh read one post above you. The k20z3 head is indeed a tsx head. And even if you were able to swap cams it would be pretty useless and i wouldn't be surprised if you lost some power.
obviously ur not understanding what im explaining. any k20 aftermarket internals will work. the toda type-s stroker kit... thats gonna fit. the type-s toda race cams. those will fit. what does any of this have to do with a TSX head? I never said the Si head wasnt from a TSX. So wats your point???? People swap heads and blocks within the honda community like its their duty. what makes you think these internals are not interchangable. obviously you wudnt want STOCK type-s cams. maybe if u read my post a second time before chiming in you'd hear im talking about aftermarket.
