cam gears??

when replacing your cams with better ones is it recomended to also change out your cam gears? what exactly do better cam gears do? :pat:

Basically:

Once adjustable cam gears are installed it allows adjustment of roughly ten degrees advance or retard.

^^so do you have to install cam gears to tune the cams?

the cams should be "tuned" the way you buy them. The tuning you should do would be fuel tuning. You do not NEED cam gears when swpping cams.

The cam profile is all that changes.
