Just installed a CAI in my Si and now it seems I need a tune since the intake triggered a CEL and surge idling. Obviously, I could go Hondata but are there other options out there? Is there a way to buy a tune online and then buy an OBD to USB and upload it to my ECU via a laptop? Is there any way around getting a tune? Any and all advice welcomed!

GETTING a Hondata Flashpro is well worth the money, don't regret getting mine at all.

Either K-Tuner or Hondata Flashpro. There’s no workaround. That should have been your purchase before the CAI...! Did you buy the CAI used or new? Some places offer a CAI with the FlashPro.
If I were you, remove the CAI, or at least the upper hose portion, and reinstall your stock intake until you have a FlashPro or KTuner. Then get an ETune from a company of your choice. Just google “e-tune solutions” and you’ll figure it out from there.

TLDR; don’t install a CAI until you have a FlashPro and a Tune loaded on the FlashPro for the CAI.
