Okay, so its time for me to change my break pads and rotors for the front wheels.

I want to get a good set of break pads and rotors, but I'm a bit confused as to which pads I can pair with which rotors.

For example, Can I pair Hawk pads with rotors from Autozone? Or do the pad and Rotor companies have to be the same?

Take note, I'm not racing my car on a track. This is just for everyday driving use...I will be going f/i in the future so something slightly better than stock is beneficial.

Any suggestions?

Im trying to buy a set while the black Friday weekend deals are in effect so any help ASAP is appreciated.

they dont have to be same companies. yesterday i purchased hawk hp pads from corsport and brembo blank rotors from tirerack. this is a good setup for dd.

There are different type of hawk pads....any of them civic specific?

The Stoptech Street Performance Brake Pads on dyno data show 25% more bite at all temps up to 750° F than Hawk HPS. Over 750° F, Hawk HPS fades significantly while the Stoptech pads increase in bite up to 1300° F where they reach their MOT (maximum operating temperature).
