Okay, so its time for me to change my break pads and rotors for the front wheels.

I want to get a good set of break pads and rotors, but I'm a bit confused as to which pads I can pair with which rotors.

For example, Can I pair Hawk pads with rotors from Autozone? Or do the pad and Rotor companies have to be the same?

Take note, I'm not racing my car on a track. This is just for everyday driving use...I will be going f/i in the future so something slightly better than stock is beneficial.

Any suggestions?

Im trying to buy a set while the black Friday weekend deals are in effect so any help ASAP is appreciated.

Thanks.

And that'll bolt right up to the stock 5 spoke?

There are different type of hawk pads....any of them civic specific?

Which brand of break pads do you guys recommend?

I don't want something that's going to cost an arm and a leg.

The Stoptech Street Performance Brake Pads on dyno data show 25% more bite at all temps up to 750° F than Hawk HPS. Over 750° F, Hawk HPS fades significantly while the Stoptech pads increase in bite up to 1300° F where they reach their MOT (maximum operating temperature). These pads work great for both daily driving and track use. They also perform well cold as we have a number of customers who live in below freezing areas and have no problems with the pads. Not only do they outperform the Hawks as well as many other pads, but they also cost less. I can do the Stoptech pads for $52.50 plus shipping.

If you are looking for a rotor to pair them with and do not want to break the bank, look no further than the Stoptech Premium Blank Rotors. I can do the front rotors for $120 plus shipping.

Just provide me with a zip code and I can give you a total price if you would like.
