So my slave cylinder went out the other day, and usually that's not a big deal, I replaced it and bled the clutch. Only I could not get the clutch stiffen up like it was before. It felt super soft and the engagement point was almost at the floor. Fast forward to today and im in neutral, wishing my clutch would go back to how it was. I pretty much dumped it, again in neutral, and Wala! Clutch goes back to being stiff with the usual high engagement point. Is this normal? I prob drove it 60 miles with the clutch feeling soft, but no slippage, no grinds, nothing. Still no slippage and no grinds but why did it stiffen up like that

It being an inconsistent thing makes me think that its most likely air in the lines, a fluid leak, or the pedal has an issue.
just installed 2 em1 kits on my friend and mine 8th gens so i have this fresh in my mind.

make sure the bleeder is on tight like at least more than a half turn isn't leaking intermittently i had this issue and got stuck on the road.

to check the pedal remove the plastic flap above the pedals by turning the plastic thumb thing and inspect the clutch pedal and the rod and clevis pin for abnormalities. it could be your adjustment nut is loose, double check that and the adjustment rod in general.

but i wouldn't rule out the master going out as well, you can inspect the master for leaks pretty easily with just the stock intake box removed.
