I just got my BCRH in the mail today and was looking to install it. I remember reading somewhere that I needed some gaskets or something like that. Can anyone tell me what else I need for the install?

I had a shop install mine for me. They used the existing gaskets because the car is so new. The gasket on the head is metal, but not sure about the other one where it connects to the cat-back. Also, you should buy the angled defouler so you "hopefully" won't throw a CEL. Unfortunately, I continue to throw a CEL every 30 miles. Other than that, it is a great header!!

nope not the BCRH, it unfortunately does not.

I didnt get the 90 degree defouler i just extended the sensor out some more and never got a cel light!

well i just insalled the other day and it's likea whole new car. For some reason though if I get on it really hard in 1st or second the header seems to be banging on something. Can anyone help on this?

Here is my DIY http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/bolt-ons-all-motor/39365-bc-race-header-here.html This shows the gasket you need and the bolts if you don't want to press the old ones out of the cat. Enjoy.

My first time at the track I ran about 5-6 times that day. I was pretty hard on the launches and broke a weld. Here are the pics

Hmmmm....interesting....I have this header and I wonder if you are hearing the same thing I am. When I am close to redline, it sounds kind of like a backfiring sound. Is this the sound you are experiencing??

no... I got some pics today of underneath and I'm pretty pissed. The header is hitting the underside of the car. The header goes 4-2-1, its hitting on the 2 portion. Only on the one pipe though. It seems as if the pipe is lower than the other causing it 2 do this. It has even put a dent in the tube. I think the header is bad.

I dont know how to post the pics up though so if someone could that would be good.

hmmmm something cant be right then do you think it could be just a bad one. It slams really bad on shifts from 1-2, 2-3. So hard that it has put a dent in the piping, I know thats not right...
