if you don't appreciate counter measures then fine ..police counter measures are mis understood by the masses

but its a hobby

i started off with a bel rx 65 and that saved me from lots of tickets after that i went to the 9500ix that has saved me more then 15 times, and now its become a hobby more then anything so i went top notch mostly for fun.

you could say...buying I/H/E is a waste for an SI... after all I/h/e will only cost you money not save you money.

as far as the don't drive like a douche, ...nothing will save you from a ticket if you drive like a douche ..this doesn't make your car invisible

a hobby? seriously? its a civic, u aint doin 200 down the rd
you dont need to be doing 200 to get a ticket

and yes it is a civic how much money have you spent on yours? my counter measures can be transferred to other cars

and yes a hobby, good $400 detector can save you quite a bit from tickets if you want laser protection you can get decent protection for around 400

i chose to go the high end route because i wanted it.

w/e man

you'll think differently when your doing 10 15 over along with the flow of traffic and you get picked out in a speed trap

where i live this isn't a problem but I go places where they will pull people over for 5 over

If you ever drive on I5 (CA) flow of traffic can be like 90+ mph and if you pass any one up for say a lane change you could get targeted and ticketed for doing like 2 more then flow (and of course this now becomes 92 in a 70)

*edit*
Report: Speeding Not a Significant Cause of Accidents
UK government report shows exceeding speed limits contributed to only three percent of accidents in 2006.

i cant find it but theres a study in the US that found that cops always blame being over the PSL to be a cause of an accident even though when the crash is analyzed you can see that that was not the cause of the accident instead not paying attention was, over compensation, under compensation etc.. was)

I was into that stuff in the day, then I realized that my money went to other forms of electronics, but I filled out the countermeasures suite first anyways, 9500i/ZR4, simple, and it works, VEIL is coming soon as ive had good experience with it on the last car. . . scanner. . . NO, I like music too much to be monitoring the radio traffic

otherwise yeah, no money for a big bad Diode-base jammer, no moivation for scanner/CB. . .

I was on that site a while ago, but I left after the ddrama kicked in, came back once or twice, havent been motivated to stay

What ever makes you happy.:thumb:
Exactly. I honestly don't see the reason why ppl ganged up on Montu that much. Unless there's a Friends-and-Supporters-of-your-local-PD meeting is in the progress, I am confused. Well known fact is that traffic enforcing laws police officers - as guided by their respective police departments - are after you and after your money, whether you really jeopardize the life of your fellow motorists or not, so let Montu have as many radar detecting devices as he finds fit. Those who are so into "do not break the law", please drop all your HIDs for they are illegal in the US, do not put any decals on your windshields, as the latter "obstruct" your vision, and do not invest in your aftermarket sound systems as they might prevent you from hearing a police or emergency sirens... :)
