Hey, just saying hi and introducing my newest girl.

Most people think I am crazy, hopefully you guys will TOTALLY understand.. hah. I traded in my 2013 Sonic RS this last Tuesday for a Nighthawk Black Pearl 07 fg2. I had wanted an Si since 2001 and it just wasn't an option for me. Now that I am divorced and have no restrictions, I'll daily/mod whatever the heck I want!! The Sonic was in a unique place with equity so it turned into a very close swap, even mileage.

I also have a project EF, just a base, but she will be my true toy (track queen? SPL??) as I've already pulled the gone d15 and she will wait the winter for a nice swap.

Plans for the fg2 are simple to start, get to know her front to back, take care of the paint issues (swirls OMG, chips and larger areas missing some clear), first order of business is addressing the blown shock in the rear, and possibly picking up some new wheels. Asthetics mostly for now, lowering, cleaning her up and some usual customization, but later I'd like to think about boosting her.

So far I know she's sitting on 17x7 Xtatic Sinister in black, the red badges front and back, which are going, and has an injen CAI which I hope to trade for an SRI.

Thanks! The EF was my first love, I just REALLY dig that more square shape. It's pretty sentimental to me too, it served as so many things and was given to me by my best friend.

One more pic of the EF because I still don't have many of the Fg2.. been either on the road with her or at work. Killing me to not shine her up and have our first photo shoot!

Thanks! I think I will try a red vinyl tint film over the tails to see if that boosts them to the almost-OEM look I prefer, if not I will grab a set of the OEM-look ones with LEDs.

Pretty excited for the weekend! Going to be warm enough for a bath and our first car parts!!

Too bad it's just a used OEM shock to replace the severely blown one I bought the car with :/

Oh well, least I get to start turning some wrenches on the car! Also probably dropping the trans fluid as well since I have no clue when it was done last.

Dropped the trans fluid and replaced, fixed the shock, thought I was gonna replace the rear control arms... found out that the OEM bolts would not fit through ANY of the holes on the J2 arms I nabbed. Lesson learned. Guess fixing that rear camber issue of the 07s will have to wait until my Si and I make the 1300 mile trip to our new home in Nevada.

Just a little update:

All settled and just starting to work on projects for the fg2. Still hate the wheels but they are a little better since I painted them. Have come to terms with the tails... for now. Started getting a nice little P0139 code being thrown randomly so that's the next order of business.

Also I REALLY wanted to change that red i-vtec decal... and then I discovered that its not a decal at all. Its painted on. And its not OEM size. So any ideas on how to cover it or get rid of it would be very welcome! (aside from a new paint job which this NHBP needs badly)
