Amazing shift boot idea. NEED HELP! (no haters alowed)

So the plan here is to make my own shift boot. I want to make it would of a clear plastic material, like a clear umbrella or clear rain coat something that is flexible but clear. Then i will put a some led's in the inside of them to make it like up. If anyone has in advice on materials or suggestions on how i should go about this project please feel free to tell me them. THANKS in advanced.

I would get something not completely clear but like more opaque, that way it would diffuse the LEDs so they aren't too bright.
