Hmmm....if I'm reading that right, there is a weak design in the chain tensioner on the k-series engine that is pronounced during low-oil pressure situations. So it has nothing to do with driving hard, and everything to do with cold starts.

Even though the k-series engine has proven itself to be capable of exceeding 150k consistently without a problem, an aftermarket company has designed a "better" tensioner to replace the OEM unit.

Wouldn't it simply be better to replace the stock tensioner unit during the 150k timing chain inspection?

I really hav never heard anyone talk bout this so i searched hard so i want to know is this a big deal or just one of those problem thats i dont worry bout lik everybodys tranny problem
