Got the Vibrant with cat installed on my FA5 sedan... Loud CLUNK on cold start up front. Honda installed, even.

One theory is that is it's bad back pressure, and I need a free-er flowing exhaust, so the question is which axle back is a simple bolt-on, even and idiot like me could do? Vibrant also?

Thanks a million. And happy T-day for the U.S. folks.

I had a clunk when i first installed my RT cat - turned out to be an exhaust hangar binding up. Mine would mostly only happen when starting it on the cold, but I could reproduce it by lurching the engine. If you hit bumps/lurch the engine do you get the clunk still? is it almost like the clunk bounces?

Also, how do you like the Vibrant w/HFC? big difference from stock?

Edit - Also, I've never heard of "bad back pressure". There are plenty of guys running headers with stock exhaust and I've yet to hear of that causing a clunk. I'd check the exhaust hangars on the header.

It's been so wet so I have been (meowing) out crawling under there in my work clothes; but I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow. :D

The Vibrant is fantastic otherwise; buttdyno ftl, but I swear the lower end feels much brawnier.

Thanks for the advice; I hope they figure it out.
