do they restrict power from the exhaust?.....how do the different sizes differ from each other?..

i just purchased a LSD power 4 exhaust....i got the exhaust because its 2.5 inch and there was plenty of happy customers wit it....the thing is im afraid its going to scream with my vibrant catless header....im lookin between a magnaflow 14in and 18in resonator and wondering which would be better...dont want to totally kill the sound but dont want every NY cop to turn there head when i pass down the block

Resonators dont alter power, they just lower db level, decrease the frequency, and absorb vibrations. In my opinion, the bigger the better. pretty much as big as you can fit without any clearance issues. and i think that the 14 might only lower it by 10db. dont quote me. its just an estimate.

A resonator is going have to same effect a cat does. Its going to be restrictive in the exhaust system. The plus side is if the exhaust your purchasing is known to drone or be to loud for your liking the resonator is going to decrease the sound it makes.

No, no it does not. A perforated straight through resonator has no restrictive properties like a converter does.... You cant even see end to end in a converter.
