From what I've been told by others, the only 8th Gen Civics that have trim badges are the Si Civics and higher of this generation. But I'm wondering if this is 100% true because I have a 2008 Honda Civic LX Sedan and I have an LX badge on my trunk, quite a few of the LX Civics here have the badge actually (I have yet to see a badge for any other trim though and that's probably because the other trims weren't really sold like that here).
Now, our Honda dealer here gets all of their vehicles from US plants (except for the Honda City which they get from a plant abroad). That being said, even though all of their vehicles are made in US plants, they're not all US spec. Basically, they get whatever the plant gives em so some come US spec and some come spec for other markets.
My Civic for example is not US spec. Another user from the forum has indicated that my interior shows it's more than likely Mexico/Switzerland spec given:
- The lack of cruise controls (Which comes standard on US spec Civics)
- The red hazard button (Not available on US spec Civics)
- The missing passenger airbag light (Which comes standard on US spec Civics)
- A proper cigarette lighter (Which Isn't available on US spec Civics)
- The 2AT0 radio (Which Isn't available on US spec Civics)
Given this information, anyone know if those other markets were spec with trim badges? I personally like the trim badge being on the trunk, so not complaining. But when I do a search for 8th Gen civics online I don't see ANY with a trim badge other than the Si's and above. I'm just a very curious person.
I've been told that none of the Civics lower than the Si trim had badges on them for this Gen (this only applies to the USDM civic body style) and I don't think this is the case. Anyone have anymore info on this?
