I will be mounting my Enkei RPF1's 17x8 45 offset but can't decide on what will look/perform the best. I will be lowering the car soon, most likely 1.3-1.5 inches. I've searched for days but can't find a solid answer. TIA.

225/40/17 is my vote.

i have 18's though... but this is what im going with when i need my next setup soon as the Falkens wear out.

to give you a lil insight:

HFP springs
Skunk2 Pro-S shocks
215/40/18 Falken ZIEX ZE-912's

will be getting Yokohama S-Drives 225/40/18s

good luck w/ your decision.. hope others chime in w/ their ideas to help ya out. :thumb:

Back from the dead....
I've got hfp suspension on my fa5, if I swap my 215/45/17 tires to 215/40/17 wouldn't that lower my ride a bit more? Does this setup effect wheel gap at all? How would 40s effect handling wise too... Thanx guys

is there any height difference between 225/40/17 and 225/45/17?

if put 225/40/17 instead of 225/45/17, is the car going to sit lower? or just the whole sidewall gets shorter and the height remains same?

any comments. thanks.
