Passenger window all of a sudden will not roll down using both switches,fuse is good.has anyone ever had a motor die with no warning?

It's a stupid question but I ask it because it happened to me, are you sure it's plugged in? Like the connector to the window motor.

Unless by some weird chance it fell off,yes it is.it has been working flawlessly,then one day,nothing.

Well one way to test if it is the window motor is to remove the window motor from the driver side and install it on the passenger side and test if it works (I believe they are different directions or something so only plug it in, don't hook it up to the actual window glass)

If the driver side motor actually starts activating then you need a new passenger side motor, if it doesn't then you likely have a wiring/electrical issue.

So the drivers side motor works when you plug it into the passenger side connector? Because woohoo, that means it's just the motor that's bad

I havent removed and/or switched anything.im having a tech at work replace the regulator assembly,we'll see how it goes

First, smack the door hard with your hand while trying to roll it down. It will prolly be enough to free up the dead spot in the armature of the window motor. If it doesn't, then you'll need a test light to check for voltage at the motor. Note; if you free up the window motor by smacking the inside of the door as earlier described, it's not "fixed" and I recommend leaving the window up till you replace it.

Have you made sure the window lock for the passenger window was not accidentally depressed on driver side window control panel. It will not allow the window to be operated from either the drivers side or passengers.
