Alright so this is purely fictional, I have no intention of running him, and I believe I would be trounced. With that being said, my friend at work has a 2005 Jaguar S-Type 4.0. I'm just wondering if my stock Si could even put up a fight. I mean it's a big engine but it's heavy.

If he has the base model:
• 2,967 cc 3 liters V 6 front engine with 89 mm bore, 79.5 mm stroke, 10.5 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder AJ-V6
• Power: 235 HP SAE @ 6,800 rpm; 216 ft lb , 293 Nm @ 4,1
•Weights: curb weight (lbs) 3,770

I don't see actual performance specs, but from the looks of it you'd have a darned good chance if not complete pwnage
edit- 3.0 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds - you should be able to beat that by a good margin

Now, if he has the v8, it's either A 294-horsepower 4.2-liter,
edit - 4.2 can accelerate form 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds - close, but no cigar.. u lose

or the 'type' R 390 horsepower supercharged version - if it's the last one then you might as well save the gas..
edit-0 to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds - hmmm i wonder what the front of it looks like?
