Im from Toronto, picking up my Si this week, anything i should do/watch out for?

i saw one turning right heading eastbound off a side street on to 16th yesterday .. i thought it was gonna catch up but it got caught behind a lot of cars..

don;t call me bone stock.. i have a loud engine, exhaust tip, spoiler, aluminum shift knob, and embossed Si Seats!!!!

hahaha.. ur tempting me to spend $$$$.. but i have a wedding to save for!!

my old car i spent too much $$$ so this time i am ging to keep it stock.. ; >

More than likely. Drive to work everyday and always out and around the RHill area at nite. I *think* I'm the only TW Si that roams the streets of RHill on a daily basis :vtec:

Hey Sam, I'm actually in the RHill area a lot, but if it was Mon, Tues, Weds then it wasn't me. If it was last thurs, fri or sat it might've been me cos I was in the area then.

I was there today too, getting my tranny fluid changed and having dinner with the gf... saw a white CSX-S going SB on Markham Rd at 401 intersection at 4. Then I saw a white FG2 at East Beaver Creek waiting to turn EB onto 7 at around 9. There're SOOOO many TWs around (not to burst ur bubble there ll_TW_Si_ll LOL)

Why are you writing in all bold?

Haha... the mod bug will eventually bite. I'm pretty sure of it. It'll probably start off slow, but eventually :) just do the small budget mods for now... like front lip overlaying (I'm just gonna go get 3M automotive vinyl and DIY)... maybe foglights, shiftknob, deadpedal, lowering spring...
Temptations will keep on coming, esp if u browse this forum too much LOL...

haha.. yah little mods will come.. but i leased this car because in the next 5 years i will start a family.. and probably go into a sedan.. if i do go into another coupe it'll be something newer haha..

i've wanted the Si/SiR ever since i was a teenager! :>

but i shall rice up my car a little bit with some white lights.. and MAYBE eventually a HFP kit.. ; > maybe! if i get a good deal ; >

and HID's..but that's it i swear!

I"LL BE AT GO FOR TEA tonight so if u see a stock Si that's stalling and taking forever to take off it;s me ; >

Umm... no bubble bursted, I honestly could care less, it is only a civic after all, I don't expect it to be some rare and exclusive car anyways...

I usually write in bold when I quote just so it's easier to make it visible... but since u seem somewhat bothered, I'll stop it ... just for u lol....

Daang, normally I'd be around the area so I'd prolly drag the gf over there just so I could meet you... alas, tonight I had to pick up the parents from the airport. Next time tho, I'll drop a msg here for a TW Si meet :) No worries about the stalling, you'll get the hang of it fast...

Haha... ya, I made that mistake when I thot a BMW 3 series would be more exclusive. Then I started seeing everyone from teenage girls, 70 year old men and even housewives going to the supermarket with them. I have no illusions about exclusivity anymore either haha...

Nah, ain't bothered, just thought it was kinda weird. After all, internet convention dictates that bold and all caps are for yelling or exclamation. I AM flattered that you stopped "just for me" tho LOL...

i have an 08 also and no problems what so ever with 3 gear.first i hear of this problem.The thing that bugs me is that in canada the si does not come with gps built in.What a shame.......

My 08 civic si coupe

I have never had any issue with 3rd gear shifting in my 08 Si coupe. I burn 91-93 octane, use Mobile 1 synthetic every 4k miles. The Michelin factory tires were total crap. I replaced with Continental extreme contact DWS tires and have about 15K on them, rotate every oil change and love them. I avg 28 mpg and 31 on the highway. 24-25 mpg in Winter snow months in Ohio. (more idling) Kept in heated garage on carpet, regularly washed and waxed. I just listed it on Craigslist in Eaton Ohio 45320 for sale. $17,900 I would like to find identical car in red and sedan. Must have Navigation. Pics of car are without window visors and sun roof visor. Adult driven not modified.'
