I've read a few forums on this issue and I'm sorry for reposting but I just need answers for my particular issue.. And I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong area. If there's a better place to post, please let me know.

So for the past few months, my car has been shifting a little rough. Kind of hard to get in gear while driving and also the clutch pedal started to make a squeak sound. It has progressively gotten worse. A few weeks ago it completely gave up on me.. When the car is off, I can shift through all gears like normal. When the car is running and in neutral, I can NOT get it in gear. When I try to force it into gear, the car creeps forward (or backwards in reverse) slightly. If I start the car while IN gear with the clutch pedal down, the car takes off. No "creeping" forward, the thing just takes off as if the clutch pedal wasn't down at all.. Once the car is moving, I can shift but I basically have to force it and I'm sure that's not doing any good for my transmission. And the clutch pedal felt much weaker than it used to. Like there's hardly any resistance to it. So I'm thinking the clutch is not disengaging for some reason. I just replaced the CMC and SC yesterday and bled the lines and I still have the same issue. The clutch pedal feels a little more stiff now, however. But still, the exact same problem is occurring.. I did notice that the bracket that attaches the pedal to the firewall has a crack in it. Not sure if that's relevant at all, but I'm thinking thats where my squeaking is coming from. Oh also I have the fork on the CMC adjusted as close to the pedal as possible.

Does anyone have any idea what my problem is?? I feel like I'm getting good actuation at the SC, but I'm not sure how much it really should be moving. I have a feeling it's the clutch but I really don't have the know-how to tackle a job like that and I'm really not sure if it's worth dumping anymore money into this car.. Within the past 3 months I've went over 200,000 miles, had to replace the starter, battery, hit a deer head on and had to replace my radiator, and now this... Any help would be so greatly appreciated and if you need any other information/pics please ask! Thank you!

Okay, after further inspection and lots of cussing, I think I have found the issue... And I feel really stupid for not realizing it before I swapped the CMC, which was a pain in the ass... I just went to try and adjust my pedal so I had to take that plastic cover off below the steering wheel. After doing that I noticed that my pedal bracket is COMPLETELY sheared off... As stated in my original post, I knew that there was a crack, I just didn't realize how severe it was until I popped that plastic cover off. That must have been where my squeeking came from, and also the "bang" sound when it finally gave out.. After googleing "2007 civic si clutch pedal", I found a post on here from a guy named aero528 and it sounds like he had the exact same issue as me... Wish I would have found that sooner, but oh well. I just hope I didn't screw my tyranny up much by driving it like that for so long and also driving it after it completely failed... Because let me tell you, I had to slam in into gear to get it back home... Anyways, I know a welder so I'm going to see if he can weld it back for me so I can test it before purchasing a new pedal because they're not cheap. I will post an update as soon as I can.

My FG2's clutch started to fail at 110k. I replaced everything clutch related and welded my bracket to reinforce it, it was cracked... @ 200k miles (assuming it's an OG clutch) it could very well be your clutch. If you diy, it'll be way cheaper. The labor involved in replacing your clutch is the most costly part of this job. If you're mechanically inclined and got a day or 2of downtime you can afford, then you can do it. There's nothing that needs to be adjusted besides bleeding the system, everything else is just bolts. Remember where they go.

Thank you for the reply and I'm sorry I didn't update sooner.. I got my clutch pedal welded up at work a few days ago and that completely fixed my problem!! Honestly, it has never shifted better. It must have been cracked for a really long time actually and when it completely sheered off on that side, it prevented the CMC from compressing completely which completely prevented me from getting in gear.. Seems to be a common issue with these pedals from what I've read. I've attached a picture of the sheered pedal bracket. Hopefully this thread will help others that encounter the same issue!
