Hey guys I am having a problem and any comments would be greatly appreciated. I have a 08 SI with 20,xxx miles on it. Simple bolt on mods to include Fujita SRI, p2r Spacer, Buddy Club header, custom 3'' exhaust with Vibrant muffler. When I am getting on the car hard and change gears when I get back into the gas it sputters for a good 2 seconds before it picks up and starts pulling hard again. I am new to the K-series engines and have never had this problem before. Could it be that I have reached the point of needing a tune, or is the 3" exhaust to big for the simple mods? I dont have a clue so any help....well it will help. Thanks

I suspect this is more of an intake issue than an exhaust issue. If what you say is true, the computer is having to do a lot of thinking before it decides to fuel the combustion. I too have a Fujita SRI, and I know its a good intake, but maybe you should take the air sensor off and make sure its clean. And make sure everything is tight with no leaks.

That's all I have without a more technical answer.

Had same problem. Dumped in some good fuel injector cleaner that helped, then sprayed the MAF with MAF cleaner and the problem was eliminated.
