Battery is new terminals starter alternator fuel pump good new starter relay and spark plugs anyone have any ideas
Probably barking up the wrong tree with this one though. Does yours flash a little green key icon on the cluster for a half second like in this video, or does it stay green? If it just flashes green for a sec then it should be fine. If it stays lit then there is a problem with the chip in the key or the chip reader in the steering column. You said the fuel pump is good, but have you checked it? Sometimes they suddenly go bad (never had one do it to me in that fashion, but it does happen). This forum seems really inactive these days, a few years ago you would've gotten several responses by now. Kind of ironic if you ask me since you would think this forum would be more active as these veichles age and problems creep up.Is fine thank you the plugs do spark fuses are good all relays click I'll have to look how to check immobilizer
Do you get that little quick flash of the green key symbol up on the cluster when you go to start it though? If not, then it maybe the system isn't even working at all. I'm having trouble trying to figure out what the immobilizer actually disables on our vehicles, seeing mixed things. But from what I can tell it seems like it disables the fuel injectors (think back in the day they used to have the ecu disable the fuel pump relay but guess that was too easy to bypass). Like I said though, it might not be anything even related to the immobilizer at all. Next to impossible diagnosing things like this over the internet LOL. Do you have access to any sort of scan tool that has live data or a OBD bluetooth dongle? Even though it's not starting, you could still turn the key to the on position and see what some of your sensors are reading such as throttle position (would need to check mine but believe it should be around 5-15% just sitting there with your foot off the gas), and maybe the coolant and intake temperatures (since the vehicle isn't running, both of those temperatures should be close to the ambient temp +/- 10 degress). Those can give you hell if they're not plugged in or functioning properly. For instance, if the the ECU thinks it's -60 out when it's really 89 degrees, it will give you issues and your A/F ratio will be way out of wack. IDK, from what I've been seeing online was just the opposite, if the green light stays on then there's a problem of some sort.No green key light = no start
I had a crank no start issue and somehow my spark plugs were fouled. My father in law was like oh it should still fire. It did not. Swapped in my old plugs, cranked right up. Yeah, I've gotten bad parts before so you never know. I am kind of confused about your story though. First it sounds like you said that your car wouldn't start because of fouled plugs, didn't start with the new ones (probably had an internal break), and then it ended up firing up once you put the old fouled up plugs back in? That's how what you wrote reads LOL.I had a crank no start issue and somehow my spark plugs were fouled. My father in law was like oh it should still fire. It did not. Sorry, yeah fouled plugs, put in a old set and it fired right up. I have everything removed right now to pull out my motor. After all the problems and endlessly cranking it, I blew the head gasket. All I have left is to pull the motor mounts. I'm replacing all the gaskets, new timing chain and tensioner, probably going to throw on a new clutch and flywheel while it's out.
