Only way my Honda will shift is if I drive in D3 up until about 50mph then shift up into D then I can continue to get speed. Any ideas how I can fix this??

How is your trany fluid? Low or really old trany fluid can cause this issue. If its not that it could be that the trany is on its last legs...

that's why I own a manual - the biggest weakness on any Honda is their automatic transmission, the issue is the sealing rings on the main clutch pack shaft eat out the transmission case-body , yea, yea, I know they make a ready sleeve to fix that but it doesn't hold, it's just a temporary fix,, you're wasting your time rebuilding the transmission, that's why no transmission rebuild shops don't touch them, new transmissions are still available from your ripoff Honda dealer
