The car has been taking longer then usual to start in the mornings for past week or two so I knew the battery was on its last leg. It wouldn't start at all yesterday and I had left nothing on for it to drain so I guess its dead. I replaced it with Kirkland(costco) size 11 yes'day and so far its fine. Would it be dead in jsut 3 years? I remember the battery in my maxima lasted me more then 8 years.

8th gen civic batteries are very porn to die early they are the cheapest battries ever put on a factor car.....if you are running heavy duty stuff on your car like amps and subs you should have gone with the Optima line of battries they are the best in the market...just my 2 cents...

Stereo is stock and i dont plan on adding amps/subs. I have used kirkland battery from costco in all my cars so far and have had zero problems. they are made by same company that makes batteries for sears, autozone..etc.

65k miles on my '06 LX and for the past 3 months I have been running 2 amps, a cap, and 2 JL w6v2 subs. Still starts great. *knocks on wood*

I would've taken it to the dealership for a free replacment id it was only 34k miles.
