  1. What turbo for more power

    Turbocharging
Don't waste your money on boost Junkyz stuff. With the IWG and the Borg Warner high pressure actuator I had an 11psi base pressure and had room to make well over 16psi if I wanted to. Your range of pressure can be a good deal wider with an External gate though. I would strongly suggest...
  2. ATL Si's Full-Race EFR 7670 Mythbuster Build

    Turbocharging
Just for a random update, I drove a local's car - custom turbo kit (nice), GT3076, TiAL .82 V-Band housing, all bolt-ons, 3 port bcs, 430whp. From a dyno-like pull starting at 3k the turbo definitely started building significant boost earlier than my EFR. I was not surprised with that. But my...
  3. What turbo for more power

    Turbocharging
It will help a good bit, but since I am assuming your base pressure is around 8-9 psi you will still have to work the pedal some to maintain traction especially in first. For what it's worth, my base pressure was ~11psi with a 7670 and Jeff Evans said it would not be able to completely...
  4. What turbo for more power

    Turbocharging
Typically with these motors a larger A/R turbine housing will be better. I'm not sure if .86 to .83 would really make much of a noticeable difference though. My opinion of the Treadstone housing is it's not as good as a Borg Warner housing (you can get a single scroll V-Band EWG housing for...
  5. What turbo for more power

    Turbocharging
If you're looking to get around 500whp I would suggest either the EFR7670 or the 7163. The 7670 will be capable of 500whp on pump, the 7163 will likely be down slightly on power at the same boost pressure but will feel exactly like the 7064, if not better, on the road.
  6. HOW TO: Install a Full-Race EFR Turbo Kit on Your Stock Si and Boost Properly

    Turbocharging
Yeah my car felt great off boost with the 7670. Was nice and quick and then the boost came on nice and smooth and all of a sudden I was doing 120 haha

I'm glad people are still enjoying it! I still think this is the best exhaust you can buy for the car, quite a few years later :)

    Exhaust Discussion
Like others have said I would make sure that your header - exhaust piece that you connect with a slip joint slopes DOWN and not up. I'm guessing that's your issue

  14. Best Suspension Review Project

    Suspension and Brakes
I wouldn't worry too much, I can only assume that between the general parts quality and the pillow ball upper mounts of the D2, you would experience more noise with them than with your current setup by a noticeable margin.

  17. Best Suspension Review Project

    Suspension and Brakes
Sportlines are about a 1.5" drop, so an extra half-inch would put you right around 2". And yes the one thing that drives me off the wall about the 8th-Gen community is the cheap and "I need to be slammed" approach to modding. I don't even think stretched tires and a really low car look good...

Lol I saw his question and got excited and then he demanded having a 2.5" drop and it made me sad.

    Turbocharging
I doubt you want a Tilton twin disc......unless you are planning to make tons of power. If I could buy a clutch again I would get an Exedy Twin. I have one in my Evo and its perfect
