Glad everything seems good for you. I have three battery tenders going in the garage. Of course, one is for the vette.

Once you see the Carbon edition, somehow the Z06 looks plain Jane and the Grand Sport just looks like another Corvette. The funny thing is that I think the Grand Sport is gorgeous and would be super hot in Inferno Orange. Chevy has done a great job in differentiating the base from the GS, from the Z06, from the Carbon Z06 and from the ZR-1. It is great that there are these distinct models. Kind of reminds me of all the options a person had back in the 60's.

Isn't that totally sick? A dealer close to me has 4: Black, White, Red and Silver. They had a white ZR-1 parked outside next it them. At first, I thought it was just another Z06 Carbon LOL. Why is it that orange cars look so dang good with carbon fiber, whether it is the Carbon edition, a Gallardo or Lotus Exige. The color reminds me a lot of Hugger Orange, a color that I wish Chevy had used on the Camaro. Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, price is really up there. Be a tough choice if I were to either get that one or a Z06 Carbon edition. The '67 being 43 years old, is more of a toy to take out on a nice Saturday night. And, I will admit they suck gas like a Kohler toilet flushes water. The premise behind the tri-power was that you would run on only 1 carb for cruising and then when you need it, the other two two-barrels would kick in. They were kind of tricky to tune. Most guys went with a high rise manifold and 780 cfm Holley.

Still, the '67 seems to be the most popular and sought after of all the years that the Corvette has been made. I was a Corvette fanatic as a kid growing up, was even more of one when I had a couple, and still long for one. There is something about the fact that it is American made while giving supercar type performance. There is such an illustrious history with the car too. BTW, I have seen a '67 L-88, super, uber rare. Now, that would be a car!

You got that right. '67 owns everything else. A true Stingray. I still get goose bumps everytime I see a '63-'67 Corvette. Ridden in and driven many, both 327's and 427's. Those solid lifter tri-powers were insane for the time. Check out this link: CS 1967 maroon

I sure hope so. I would like to see Corvette back on top again. Seems like just a lot of bad luck this year as you said. GT2 sure is fun to watch though.

Hey Jon. Say, what is going on with the Corvettes in ALMS? I watched both the race at Mid Ohio and at Elkhart Lake. Seems like the motor is not powerful enough and not reliable enough yet. The competition is fierce. With the 2 Ferraris, the 2 BMWs and the Porsches, it is quite a fight in GT2.

Jon, how is the 5.5 liter doing in the ALMS Corvette? Seems like it is holding together well and making good power.

What is the new motor going to be called that is 5.5 liter? Will it be an LS series or have a different designation?
