Official "What did you do to the R18 today" thread

Got a nice CEL this morning. Not sure what it is. I'll go to autozone or something after school and borrow a code reader and figure this out. It didn't go into limp mode and it's not making any strange noises or acting weird, so I'm not sure what it is. Might just be a lean code or something from the mods.

Think so? I've had my car temporarily go into limp mode I think 3 times now so you might be right. No CEL during limp mode though and it would go away without turning the car off :think:
I have:
-Takeda Intake (2.5" IIRC)
-P2R TBS
-Skank2 Exhaust and that's it

Was that L bracket fabricated by you? Good work! I have an R18, never saw that. I even had my bumper off last night.

Back to the thread:

One of the shrouds from my retro came loose. Sent them back to the retrofitter to have them repaired. Wire harness is also bad, but it was late, I was tired and just disconnected the harness. I'll replace it when I have more time. Replaced the retro with a cheapo-fleabay lights. They look good, but quality is "no bueno". So, I only have DRLs/turnsignal/HiBeam. So no night driving for me. Looks (to me) very weird.


So who can spot some mods I've done? (only 3 are visible)

The L bracket is OEM. For some reason it wasn't quite touching the radiator on the passenger side so I bent the bracket down on the bottom and put two garden hose washers between the radiator and L bracket. The rattle is completely gone now.

I've had my front bumper off countless times and never noticed it. When my car was under warranty Honda couldn't find the rattle either and they even replaced both fans.

Hybrid mirrors, fogs and retro? That is a pretty rare/odd color for a civic!


Sprinqer glad it's (most likely) an easy fix!

Washed and detailed her .
As I'm detailing my car two older guys approached me and started to ask all sorts of questions and complimenting the car . They loved it and kept telling me how nice it was .
It was a feel good moment for sure

Had that happen a while back. Some old Jedi came by and absolutely blew my mind with ideas and things I could improve but surprisingly appreciated dip

Yeah, I don't see many Borrego Beige Civics around.

1) Hybrid Mirrors (had to get them painted at body shop)
2) Retros
3) Acura TL sun visors (no more splitting!!)
4) Mugen Side Visors (Can't really see them here)
5) Gentex Mirror (monitor/compass/dimming/Homelink...... forgot about it)

Fogs? Not really a mod, these are fleabays ones (never again, nothing lines up, crappy quality). Speaking of Fogs, does anyone know if LED fog lights are available for our R18s (like the LED fogs you see on 2014 Hybrid Civics)??? I haven't seen anything.
