U can do the airbox mod. Shave the fins in the box down and remove the resonator all that jazz. Look that up under air intakes and can throw in a k&n filter.
Eh...shaving the fins isnt worth the trouble IMO....and I wonder whether it truly helps....I know the fins help direct turbulent air....no fins means the air has no direction in the air box. I did this mod and didn't notice any difference, power/sound wise.
Can try a K&N filter like posted above....doesn't cost too much.
And taking out air box resonator, should make it sound different.
I have a skunk2 cai but I swear someone on here did a before after dyno doing all the airbox stuff with a make shift snorkel etc and got like 7 hp. Can't remember for sure. Who knows though. On an ls1 trans am u can get about 10hp and 12# torque for $5. Lol.
Scour ebay,cl, forsale forum for good cheap parts. I recently scored an excellent condition NST pulley set including the new bearing I pressed in for 40 bucks. Not free but, cheap! keep your eyes open for deals.
Adjust the stock CMC so you can shift at redline haha
