Hey everyone.
I joined this site in October 2010 in hopes of becoming a fan of the Civic SI. Needless to say, it worked. I ended up trading in my 2007 MINI Cooper S for a brand new 11 Rallye Red FA5 in December 2010. In the past I have been notorious for modifying cars quickly, having some fun, and then getting rid of them 12-18 months later. Previous car I've owned are: 97 Jeep Wrangler, 04 WRX, 07 STi, 08 STi, and the 07 MINI Cooper S. The goal with the SI was simple - find something that was enjoyable to drive but was affordable and a car I could keep for a long time. I also told myself I would mod it slowly so I would not be tempted to get rid of it. So far, so good. :thumb:

Now... here are a few pictures of the 'progress'...
December 2010 - BRAND NEW
January-March 2011 - added OEM visors, splash guards, tint, HFP front lip, OEM color-matched trunk strip, removed the VTEC stickers, and debadged the trunk. Basically, I did all of the simple stuff that wasn't expensive.
March-June 2011 - added a few more mods, but continued to move slowly on purpose. Added a Xenon Depot HID kit, Valor Sport shift knob, yellow fogs, and HFP rear lip. Also did a nice little detail in May.
Also started to attend the local meets... :thumb:
July-December 2011 - After 6-7 months I was still enjoying the car a lot. The slow modding technique was working well. In July I bought a set of lightly used 18" bronze HFP wheels and wrapped them in Hankook tires. I wanted the HFP wheels to keep things simple, clean, and functional. Later on in the year, I got a great deal on a set of joon joon retrofitted headlights from a local member during this time. The lights had TypeK shrouds painted graphite when I bought them (and I've since switched them out).
January 2012-Present - Added the Strut King Dead Pedal, Redshift Koni & Neuspeed Sport springs, SPC rear camber kit, Ingalls front camber bolts, custom alignment, and got my retros setup the way I wanted them to be setup. Out with the TypeK shrouds in graphite... in with the E46 shrouds. Joon joon did a kickass job.
^^^ and this is how it sits now...
I'll try to remember to update this from time to time as mods come in... hopefully I will keep things rolling nice and slow. Future plans are intake, header, exhaust, FlashPro, TWM short shifter, and a few other things.
Big thanks to Dan @ DnL Performance for a few installs, 0720Steve, joon joon, and a few other local San Diego members. :thumb:
