What were the Y harnesses made form? The guy doesn't know a lot about wiring so I'd like to have everything PnP for him, or at least be able to tell him what he needs to make it work. Is there an actual part you can buy or do you have to fab it?
Hey, so I found someone who wants to buy my old retros.. My question to you is, any way to come up with a list of parts of the stuff we took off my old wiring harnesses to use on my new retros? It was just those Y shaped connectors going from low to high beam, I assume to trigger the bi-xenon solenoid.
I also need to make sure both harnesses still work. Any idea how I could do that without pulling the car apart or electrocuting myself?
Mind walking me through how you open a headlight? I'm gonna get the new bolt for the support at the dealer this weekend while I'm getting my oil changed. Figure if I have the bumper off I might as well take the headlights out and fix the paint on the high beam bowls.
Did you ever find that bulb retainer? Or a stray bolt? The reason the bumper wouldn't line up right was because of that missing bolt in the bottom of the headlight support. I was able to find a bolt to put up there to fix the gap but it's kind of ghetto rigged.
