What are your thoughts on the focus st?

Car and Driver basically said it was a turd on the track in their latest lightning lap. For the power it had should have been faster, slower than a gti not much faster than the 9th gen.

^ the older focus Svt received killer reviews. So,me compared it to the benchmark m3. The new focus st is just too heavy for good track times. Probably fun to drive on the street...

30k is luxury car brand pricing. Then the focus will always be a "focus" and the fully loaded ST will probably suffer from a huge loss of value after a few months.

Actually they said nothing of the like. They said its a good car and they liked it. However they broke the key fob by accident and weren't able to pull the best time possible out of the car because they couldn't spend anymore time with it after destroying the key.

What are your thoughts on the focus st?

I like it a lot. Recaro seats are badass and it has torque vectoring control which means no torque steer! Not a fan of the shift knob but that's a very minuet complaint and easily fixed. I'd get one over the stang just for the cheaper insurance and fuel. Ppl seem to fail to recognize hidden costs like that. And those costs add up quick unless you make it a garage queen.

Eh torque vectorig is a marketing ploy. The car does torque steer, that and the fact that it doesn't have a mechanical LSD turned me away from the car. It's very comparable to a GTI in my opinion. Nicer than the gti too in my opinion.

What are your thoughts on the focus st?

Motortrend posted on their website that the 330hp Focus RS will be here in 2015 or 2016....can't remember. That's another reason to pass on the ST, with all it's merits. If I ever came across a good deal on a used one however....

What are your thoughts on the focus st?

The focus rs in europe is much more appealing on the exterior than the focus st. But either way, both are still pretty nice

What are your thoughts on the focus st?

I just priced one out on the ford website for curiosity. For 25 you get a pretty good start. You can't get the HID or Recaro seats without going with a 4500 option package, but maybe you could buy the car and get the parts yourself and install?
Wither way, seems a good package except for the diff. Checked focusforums, and guys seem to be doing mild bolt-ons and a Cobb reflash and getting 260hp, 360 torque!

If everything was exactly the same but made by Honda, I would buy.

I really like a lot of the new Fords. I'd truly like to see them succeed, but as of this point long term reliability & resale are too big of a question for me.

Drove one, I liked it. Sounded good, had nice pickup and the interior was really nice, love those recaro seats. Drove it right after a genesis coupe turbo and veloster turbo. I honestly like the ST the best, found the Hyundai's suspensions a bit sloppy, as well as a horrible shifter in the genesis.

Depending on how much more the ST is over the Speed3, a rear motor mount and rear sway bar ($300 total) neutralizes most of the torque and understeer. Can't do much about the clown face but it grows on you pretty quick lol also from all other angles it looks fantastic
