Time to rekindle this one.

Judas Priest Screaming for Vengence.

Iron Maiden Piece of Mind Tour. They mostly played Number of the Beast tunes with all the puppetry and crazy shiate in the background.

Deep Purple Perfect Strangers in Flint Atwood stadium.

Deathfest 1998 Jackson Michigan in some old barn with the best metal freaks ever!!

Clash of Titans....Metallica....

Rammstein freaking kicks asss! #1 in my book.

Just went and saw Scotty Ian and Anthrax open for Volbeat in Saginaw Michigan. Front row. Scotty and Joey Belladonna were right there rocking with us. Charlie Bentante is back from carpal tunnel surgery playing drums - paradiddle's \m/

Volbeat - meh. Love the grind rythm but.....no....
Rob Caggiano with his little beanie and overplaying....sucks...distracting from the Volbeat core in my opinion.

Barge to Hell. 4 day death/extreme metal cruise. It was insane. They only did it once back in 2012. Nothing will ever compare.

Also became friends with the guys in Mayhem. Get to hang out whenever they play here. Guitarist stayed with my brother in LA when they came through this year. That was an interesting weekend.

Mayhem and Watain were on tour together. Pretty awesome show if you're into black metal.

I am in awe. That has to be the most metal thing I have ever heard of. It is so over the top I would have guessed that that was from a Metalocalypse episode.

If I had not googled this and saw the picture I would be a disbeliever. I mean look at the add.

Did they have similar Metalocalypse rules on board?

Facebones: Welcome to the Dethklok employee forum. Where were going to learn to "Use your motivation"! Were going to learn to be considerate at the workplace.

Skwisgaar Skwigelf: I have to works with you everyday, so please, would you please take it easy on the cologne?

William Murderface: While that hurts my feelings, I understand.

Nathan Explosion: When you see a piece of trash on the ground, don't just stand there. Pick it up!

Pickles the Drummer: Yea! And dont leave your lunch lying around either, it attracts ants.

Facebones: And most importantly, remember. Death is an everyday part of the workplace. So when you see a dead body, dont freak out.

Toki Wartooth: Wow-wee!

Facebones: Just, ring your death bell!

Toki Wartooth: [rings death bell]

There were so few people on board you could walk up to any of the shows, they had three stages with staggered times, and just walk up to the front row as soon as they took the stage. Bands were just milling about hanging with people and drinking. It was u real. I seriously could not believe that I sat and ate frozen pizza and drank beers with Sepultura. The "new" Sepultura but still awesome. Same with karaoke with Sacred Reich or hottub time with Behemoth on the pool deck. Insanity.

Most people were super chill and it was the most polite concert crowd I have ever experienced. Some of the smaller less well known bands were just happy to have any fans on board and would actively come hang out.

The sea of black t-shirts at the formal dinners was hilarious.

They still run one cruise once a year called 70k tons of metal. The lineup is usually pretty good but its not exclusively death/black metal focused like Barge was. If you like metal at all, I highly recommend you make every effort to go on one of these.

Do this while sharing beers with your favorite metal band... yea sign me up again!

Awesome. I need to raise the bar on my bucket list as I wouldn't even have thought a thing like that happens.

2 month revive!

I saw Apocalyptica at the Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee. It was an intimate and small show but I really felt like it was a treat.

Paul Oakenfold at Summerfest a few years ago was awesome

I plan on seeing Nightwish in February.

I just ordered tickets for King Diamond playing Abigail at The Fillmore in Detroit MI on 11/28th. I last had a chance to see this concert in a local club in 1987 and said no. This is a serious bucket list item for me so here is to good health for the King!!
Great seats, what a place for a show like this. Take a virtual tour of the Fillmore if you get a chance.

King Diamond was insanely good. The old guy has better lungs now then back in the day. For those Mercyful Fate and King Diamond fans, the concert was recorded at both Philadelphia and Detroit and will be out in DVD.

Coming up.... 48 days to go!!!

70000TONS OF METAL - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

So far only excited about Belphegor, At the Gates, and Rotting Christ. But there are still 20 bands to be booked and they usually end up with a few awesome ones I've never heard before. Great way to find new music.

I really hope they book Behemoth and maybe Soilwork. Those dudes do tons of these events. I think they like the free cruise.

No joke, back in 2007 when I was dating my wife, then girlfriend, it was a Tim McGraw concert with Jason Aldean as opening act before he got big.

It's a shame it was so long ago that most videos of the events are utter crap compared to what we have now

I just saw Sub w/ Rome this month in Maryland, and it was awesome. Really sucks that Brad kicked the bucket.

I also saw Riff Raff this month, that was tight, but I think single tickets were $72 if I remember right.. kinda pricey.

Necro and Circle of Tyrants was one of my favorite shows done at a strip club.
