06 Coolant Drain Bolt on Block: Awkward position?
I am doing coolant drain and refill today. The factory manual specifically suggests, in addition to draining through the radiator pet****, opening up the 28mm drain bolt on the engine block.
While I can easily reach the bolt, it's sitting right on top of an electronic/electrical connector. So if coolant drains out from that position, it's going to wet all the electronics around there. Is it possible that just removing that bolt allows coolant to be drained into radiator and then it will come out of the pet**** too?
If that's not true, I am baffled at the idiotic design of this drain plug. Can anyone chime in?
