'08 Stumped on Full Dash Removal

Hello all,
I'm deep into a heater core replacement and I've reached a roadblock and was hoping some of you could help me out.

I've removed all dash trim pieces. Center console, pillar trim, kick plates, everything (see photo). I've removed the 3 dash support bolts from the driver's side, 2 from the lower center console area and 2 from the passenger side. From the Haynes manual and DIY article I've seen on this form, it sounds like the dash should slide up and backwards, however it will hardly budge.

I've gotten it to move very slightly back on the passenger side, and it seems loose on the driver's side. It seems like it's being held up in the middle somewhere. Is there some hidden fastener that I'm not thinking of? It looks like there is a pin located on left and right sides of the dash that it hooks onto. It appears I've cleared that, it just won't move any further.

As you can see, I've resorted to attaching ratchet straps to the dash and trying to pull it out using the rear car seat latch system. (I'm desperate)

Is the entire upper gray portion supposed to come off before the "dash" is removed, or is that all one unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I may even put together a proper how-to if I can get this finished.
