hopefully a track car

hi.

looking into a FG2 for a track day/time attack/ hillclimb car.

I've been big into autox (Focus, Mustang, FRS, STI)

and into rallyx/icex (Focus, BMW, STI).

getting started into a dedicated track car, without breaking the bank (ie getting an ITR, s2k, bmw m3, corvette, Lotus, Porsche).
car will be caged and gutted, with basic suspension mods, limited engine mods (whatever is cost effective)

my local classing is based heavily on displacement, so high Hp/L is an advantage.
it also helps the k20 will take a turbo well, when i want to move up.

havent bought the car yet, but researching.

heres the rallyx car for attention

Interesting choice for a rally car. The motor in my 2000 328i blew and that's what led to me buying my SI.

im still considering my options.

im also trying to see if it can fit into autox class and be competive.

so STX is an option, but then i cant do much weight reduction.
DSP if I want to run slicks and really wide tires.
EP is an option, if you want to go lightweight to the extreme.
and SMF is an option if I want to turbo and big tires.

Just ran mine on the track and it was really good! Need probably rear sway bar and engine mounts since wheel hop was horrendous and everything was ordered so hopefully next track day I can lay down even better times. I lost quite a bit of weight on the diet so I am suspecting I am around 2650lbs for just the car and it allready feels great and if I can get another 200lbs that would be exciting and would be even closer to the advance group as turns and braking I can easily run with big boys but straight line is far to undesirable lol. Will let you know how next even goes:-)
