New to FA5 not new to Honda

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself-----again since my other post never showed up.

Anyway, I recently picked up a 2011 FA5 sedan. Right now it needs a little paint work to get it up to my standards, and since the stock wheels are in rough shape I ordered a set of Konig Hypergrams, and a HFP killer suspension from Redshift Motorsports(which I have to say is a great place to deal with.)

I'm not sure what my plans for the car will be. A 2.4 build would be awesome, but since this is my daily driver for the moment I'm not sure. For now I'm going to enjoy driving it.

I've owned and modded quite a few hondas over that last 19 years or so, heres the list lol.

1990 Civic Si
1994 Civic Cx
1997 Civic Hx with turboed b16a2 swap.
2000 Civic Cx with turboed b18c1 swap. (GOD I wish I kept this car)
2003 Honda S2000
2004 Honda S2000
2008 Civic Lx

I'm hoping I can help out the forums where I can.

Levi

Nice man hope you enjoy the car. I want to get some hypergrams at some point for my coupe but I have to work on the suspension first. I'm interested to see what they look like on your car. What size did you go with?

They will probably look great on your coupe...I saw a picture of a set on a silver coupe, that was lowered some and it looked great.

I went with 17x8 +35, one inch wider then stock with a little different offset to push the wheels out a little bit. I might have went 18x8 but the car has brand new tires, and I'd like to reuse those lol.

I'll get some pics up once the wheels and suspension are on.

Welcome to 8thcivic.

I think you'll enjoy the Si. I am looking forward to seeing it with the suspension installed.

Here is how she sits now. Trucklid, fuel door, and bumper are all getting repainted. May throw the suspension on while I'm at it.

Some progress. Yesderday I had the car gone through by a PDR professional. He got all the dings and dents out except one on the drivers side rocker panel. (I hate door dings with a passion.)

Also I got a call today from the body shop that my parts are done, so I will pick them up tomorrow, and I will get the car put back together this weekend! I will get the suspension on too if all goes well!

Life keeps me busy but here and I should have posted the pics a couple weeks ago but here she is. Coming along nice. Really happy with how it turned out with the wheels.

I do get a bit of rubbing in the rear while going over large dips in the road at speed and a little bit in the front while turning and hitting a dip.

wow nice ride, I wanted the taffeta white but settled on a well cared for nighthawk black pearl. I'm also worried about the clear coat fading on mine, so I may end up getting the entire car repainted.

Thanks! The clear coat is fine on mine. Not sure if I just got lucky, or if it is less of an issue with taffeta white.
