Upgrading my new fa5, need one advice from you guys.

Hello everybody, I am new here because I just bought my 07 fa5 Si last October and I am loving it so much! Bought it when it had 130,000 miles and now, it has 140,000 miles..

The engine bay is very clean and I replaced new headlight, I went to Honda dealership and bought 6 new original 10mm bolts for headlight assemblies to replace ugly old 10mm bolts, I am wanting to turn this clean Civic Si into like "new brand and upgraded with every new bolts and rust-free."

I put AEM SRI on it and I admit that I made a mistake by chose AEM SRI for my fa5. It does gain power but after about 30 minutes of driving, it will start feel like I am losing some power. Because of the heat air! That SRI is only great for high-end revving and I will fix that heat air problem later because I am seeing few old parts I feel like I need to replace them first, lol!

I have a concern question for you guys who are well-known with k20s.. The hoses seem to be old and it has 140,000 mileage now so why not put a whole new set of water cooling system like I am talking about turning this fa5 into new brand and upgraded?

I did!

I got Mishimoto radiator, Mishimoto fans, Mishimoto racing themostat, Mishimoto silicone hoses, and now, that's my question about, Mishimoto Chill coolant..

My concern about Mishimoto Chill Coolant, is it safe for k20z3, Civic 07 Si? Because I find some information said that k20 owners are recommended to use Honda's coolant?

What's your take on that? should I not be worried and still good to go use Mishimoto Chill coolant?

Yeah, dropping few temperature and getting prepared for serious power upgrade if you are going to ask me what's my purpose on having these cooling system for

I know the heat air problem comes from header so it's not buying a whole set of cooling system because of heat air. I just want to replace them and have better cooling system than before

I am still waiting on water temp sender and water temp gauge on the shipping so I hope I will hear from you guys before I start putting Mishimoto parts in.

Thank you.

My water temp sender and water temp gauge is arriving tomorrow so I am about to start assembling my water cooling system with full set up of Mishimoto parts.

Is anyone gonna response to my question about the coolant? Am I safe to use Mishimoto Chill coolant?

The direction on Chill coolant says safe for any gasoline engine or diesel engine but I rather to be safe than be sorry in later.

According to their website it will match or exceed OEM specifications.

Really it's up to you but I honestly don't see how it will benefit you over the stock fluid.

Ultimately if it's something you want to use for you set up then use it. I can't see it harming anything more the stock stuff would.

I just assembled my new radiator and filled it with Mishimoto Chill coolant. It looks so NICE and I love this set up! It looks so good and yes, it is making little difference now.. I will post pics here when I upload my images to URL.

About the coolant.. I notice the temperature is dropping one to two bars..

During my test drive, I was already in bad traffic and I notice no difference with temperature. But when I finally got a room to go hard on it, I revved up to 50 MPH. I noticed my two temperature bars dropped.

Yes, I can feel the very slightly difference while driving it. Nothing with horsepower gaining, just can feel engine to be little aggressive than before.

I am not sure if it's the Mishimoto radiator or the coolant that is making the temperature dropping..

It is the radiator and Thermostat keeping it cool. Coolant is also known as ANTI- freeze because it does just that, won't form a block of ice in engine
