Weird Puddle Light Discovery???

My wife has a 2006 Civic lx and I recently removed her interior to install some insulation under the carpeting and in the doors. When I was removing the rear seat cushion (for the first time since the car was built I'm sure) I found a puddle light housing simply left under the seat cushion by a lazy factory worker, probably at 4:58 on a Friday, lol. I then noticed that there is a "cut out" for a puddle light on the bottom of the door panel, but not soon enough to look in the door to see if there was a wiring harness dangling there, just waiting to be plugged in.

It would seem as though the car was intended for puddle lights, or at least to have them as an option, since some tech clearly had one in his hand on the line...only to hide it under the seat cushion and go home lol.

I can post a pic later if anyone is curious.

Thoughts???

There isn't a wiring harness in the door for the light. I would be interested in seeing a pic of it though.

OP is right, there is a cut out for our Civics, but they were meant for another market.

here is the link when some of us talked about it and how to get an OEM part for it:

So it is totally doable.
