which terminals to test power and display in '06 ex (no nav)radio

Hi,My computer can't get through the diy pages or search so need to ask this here: '06 ex premium sound stock radio (no nav). Got a used unit to replace mine but want to test for power and display before installing BUT do not have access to wire colors and plugs, just the back of the radio. If I'm looking at back of radio and it is sitting as if in car, what block (left to right = 1-4) and what pins (ex: top row, 4th from left) are 12volt +, ground and display power.

Thanks

First off I hope you have the radio code, at start up the radio is locked and will not do anything till its code is entered. Secondly I don't recommend bench testing unless you happen to have a pig tail with the same connector at hand, if you short any of the outputs, ground them or put power to them your radio is likely going to be toast.

Connector pinout: https://www.8thcivic.com/forums/i-c-e...head-unit.html

If you only care about illumination (not the functionality of the display) just apply power to the illumination contact and apply ground to the chassis of the radio, the lights on the radio and back-light should light up.

If the displace is no good you can take it out and swap it with your old one, its held in with a few screws and is connected electrically with two ribbon cables (unclip the connector tab by sliding it away the body of the connector, the ribbon will slide out once its unlocked).
