fullrace exhaust getting louder????

So I have had my fullrace for less than a year, I am coming up on a year this July. I love the exhaust but lately I feel it has gotten much louder in the last week or two. I thought ok maybe a leak, so I brought it to my mechanic since my car needed a few other things done, and he said no leak at all and it sounds all in the muffler, like the baffle is broken inside? He and one of his mechanics also thought that.

Anyone else have this issue, or does fullrace get louder as you drive. My car seems pretty damn loud. Cruising the other day at 72-74 mph was just plain annoying, seemed like much more cabin noise, hence why I thought maybe a leak at the connector. Overall wondering how loud everyones fullrace is with some miles on it or has anyone had issues with just the muffler? I called fullrace two days ago, left a message, but no reply.

I have the Thermal branded one, year and a half old but only 2500 miles on it, and im thinking of switching to the q300. all the reviews I read about it being quiet sold me on it but it was loud when I was NA and super loud now that I have a blower.

My Hasport 70a mounts and MP header added to it too. If you just installed mounts your exhaust will be louder. I had an Apexi Noir that was 5 years old and rusting when I put the mounts on and it got way louder. That's when I bought the header and Thermal/Full Race and was immediately disappointed with the volume. And it just got louder over time, to me, and now with the blower I cant stand it. When I get on it everybody knows.

If you aren't changing stuff and it just got louder over a short time, it might be the insides. But Id be surprised if that was the case because they seem extremely well built.

I may look in to adding a resonator, Id hate to spend for a 3rd exhaust. oh well, maybe I have a different opinion of quiet compared to some and wont be happy with the Invidia either

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the leaking part. If I let off the gas suddenly between 3500-4000 RPMS I get an annoying hiss. Ive learned to work around it by toeing the gas just barely if im shifting slow in that area and it wont happen. Ive looked multiple times and I don't have a leak at the slipjoint, the axle back, or the Mega Power doughnut gasket. the bottom of my car is clean and ive been under it running and cant find anything, not even soot. and I hear nothing.

Ive seen multiple people that have this issue and they try a different doughnut gasket, which Ive done. Or it ends up being the slip joint and they weld it or something. I even seen a discussion on K20A that it might be reverberation?....and its common with this header/exhaust/RBC combination. But I had it before and after my blower so its not the RBC.

Like I said I can prevent it by not fully letting the throttle close when Im grannyshifting around. But it still sucks. IDK when you mention you thought you had a leak it reminded me of my little tinny/sneeze.

Hmm that hissing i get those when i slap on my j37 to my blower but running 3 inch cold air . My hissing start at 2000-3500- rpm light throttle though it does not do that with j35 throttle body though i have a big bore inlet maybe if i run 3.5 inch intake the hiss would go away i know this is exhaust section , i was looking into a full race exhaust but i think ima go with apexi ws2 instead i used to own those on my EM1 and loved the way it sound . No drone no deep noise or vibration during long highway i can care less about little hp gain have any of you guys look into the ws2 for the 8gen si with supercharger

the ws2 is just like the noir, loved it till rusted out/ added header. the ws2 probably wont rust out though, the noir was powder coated mild steel.

your hiss sounds like regular ol header hiss, or just intake noise. I have it too.

(j37, big bore inlet, 3.5 intake also)

the big sneeze I get is always a combination of 3500-4000rpms, step off gas abruptly, under load.... like just slow shifting. wont happen revving without a load in neutral. and it for sure sounds like its right under my seat

It definitely sounds like something changed, either in the muffler or at a flange point. Hissing isn't a good sign either. If you have a oem muffler to swap in you might be able to see if the hissing goes away and if the car gets any quieter
