ECU tune for 93 octane with stock motor?
Hello all, I recently bought flashpro, and immediately reflashed the ECU to remove rev-hang and throttle damping. It drives like a completely different car now, and this alone was worth the purchase. I'm looking into possible ways of improving the performance characteristics of the car through editing the maps. Currently, I have the ignition timing rolled back a little bit because I was seeing some knock in my datalog (running 91 octane).
So my question is as follows:
1. Is it possible to squeeze a little more performance out of the engine by tuning it for 93 octane through more aggressive ignition and cam timing?
2. Has anyone had any success in tuning the low-throttle behavior to improve MPG at all?
